Users may add link previews to their boards. The links also are tappable in exported PDF's.
To use the described feature on an iPadOS or macOS device, first extend the shelf on the left side of the screen. On an iPhone, the shelf extends from the bottom instead. Here are the steps to follow:
Accessing the Link Preview Item: Tap on the link preview item located in the shelf. This will cause the item to animate and move to the center of the canvas.
Add a Link: After the blank link preview item is added to the canvas, a dialog is raised offering three choices to add a link by copying the url from the clipboard or entering the url from a text popup.
Link Preview Tips
Youtube Links: Link previews from youtube have a play button to start a video directly in the preview. Note: Videos started muted with a mute button the corner.
Social Links: Social media posts from twitter, threads and mastodon are supported.
Creating Similar Items: To quickly create an item similar to one you've just made, use the keyboard shortcut ⇧⌘N.
Connecting Items: To connect items, long-press on an item until it glows. Then, drag a string/connector to another item. Alternatively, select two items and connect them using the pin button in the navigation bar. There's also a setting in the board's settings to choose the type of connections.
Drag and Drop/Pasting URLs: Users can drag and drop or paste URLs onto the board. Learn about this for iPadOS from Apple Support.
